Support the Royal Ulster Academy
The Royal Ulster Academy Trust is a registered charity dedicated to promoting and educating the public of Northern Ireland about art. We provide a vital platform for both emerging and established artists to showcase their work to a wide and diverse audience. Our annual exhibition at the Ulster Museum, the largest visual art exhibition in Northern Ireland, attracts nearly 100,000 visitors each year and serves as the cornerstone of our education programme. This programme has become the go-to resource for A- and AS-level art students and schools across Northern Ireland, offering unparalleled opportunities for learning, inspiration, and engagement with contemporary art. Your support helps us sustain this vital work, fostering creativity and preserving Northern Ireland's rich artistic heritage.
Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a difference. Whether you choose to make a one-time donation or consider a lasting legacy, you are helping to ensure that art remains accessible and thriving for future generations.

Leave a Legacy Gift
A legacy gift is a meaningful way to ensure the Royal Ulster Academy Trust can continue its work for years to come. By including a gift to the RUA Trust in your will, you can leave a lasting impact on the arts in Northern Ireland, helping to nurture talent and inspire creativity for future generations.
We recommend consulting with a solicitor or professional advisor to ensure your wishes are clearly outlined in your will. If you'd like to discuss leaving a legacy gift to the RUA Trust or require further information, please contact us at info@royalulsteracademy.org or Phone 028 90320819 . We'd be honoured to speak with you about how your gift can shape the future of art in Northern Ireland.
Support Artists in Need
As a Steward, Simon is a point of contact for artists and for those who wish to donate.
If you or an artist you know is struggling due to illness or injury, you can contact him directly. He will guide you to the AGBI’s support services with care and discretion.
Please help us spread the word about the AGBI beyond the RUA . Share this information at your studios, include it in newsletters, or display it in galleries and art spaces to ensure more artists in Northern Ireland are aware of this essential support.

The AGBI relies on donations to fund these grants. If you’re able, even a small contribution can make a big difference. We also raise funds through charity cards, including Christmas cards, which I’d encourage you to consider. For those in a position to offer more, legacy gifts or support from your networks—businesses, philanthropists, or groups—can have a lasting impact. All details for donating are below.
