Short Statement
Karen Daye-Hutchinson is a multimedia artist from Belfast. She studied Fine Art at Manchester University, the Belfast School of Art, and completed her MFA at Central Saint Martins, London. Her practice is grounded in allegory, symbolism, and autobiographical reference.
She is an elected member of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers (ARE), Prism Print International, and the Royal Ulster Academy of Arts (ARUA, 2021). In 2022, she was awarded the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers' Scholarship Residency at the Scuola Internazionale di Grafica in Venice and the Anita Young | Royal Ulster Academy Scholarship at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre. In 2025, she received the Central Saint Martins Postgraduate Alumni Award, alongside numerous other academic accolades.
Karen has exhibited widely in Europe, India, New Zealand, Canada, and the United States, with her work held in both public and private collections.
