Wavy Weave and Crinkle Series
Caitlin Murphy's work is centred around high levels of accuracy and precision. Working with 0.1mm thin metals though weaving and folding. She draws inspiration from geometry, mathematics and optical illusions.
Making work that is sculptural and challenging the boundaries of silversmithing and jewellery. In doing so, she creates unique pieces of art that migrate between the table and wall. She often describes them as 'metal paintings'.
