Adam Frew works in porcelain, creating thrown functional and large one-off pots. He is known for his fresh, contemporary colour palette and the unique painterly marks that he applies to his pieces: sharp lines, crayon scribbles, brush marks, sponged back sections - his work is about contrasts.
Adam spent time at the historic Winchcombe Pottery, then in Finland with Judy Makela, before undertaking a two year apprenticeship with Lisa Hammond in Greenwich, London. He was artist in residence at Flowerfield Arts Centre for 12 years, and now works from his studio in rural co. Derry/Londonderry.
He exhibits locally and internationally.
