Porcelain, nerikomi technique

This vessel reimagines the overlooked bowl - a form so ordinary it often escapes notice. Through the nerikomi process, layers of stained porcelain are compressed and sliced to reveal intricate patterns that evoke the shifting geometry of the city seen from above. The interior bursts with colour and motion, transforming a utilitarian object into a landscape of visual rhythm and depth.

Inspired by the unseen poetry of the everyday, the work invites attention to what is usually passed over. The bowl becomes both container and map - a reflection on how beauty, complexity, and meaning reside quietly within the habitual forms of daily life.
