This is an image for an exhibition to be held in 2026 based on the Bob Dylan song All Along the Watchtower. My images are generally more abstract than this.
The song conjures up a variety of unrelated fantastical images that resonate in strange ways about death and the weird nature of the world.
I have been making etching since 1983 and am considered a Master Printer. I work at my studio in Dublin and at studios in Sweden, the UK and in China.

This print is part of a series of works inspired by the 12th Century Japanese poems from the Tales of Ise written in the Heian period. The book was given to me in Tokyo
in 2016 and the stories are an equivalent to the Chivalric period in Europe. They vary from tragedy to humour to forbidden love and even to suicide and murder.
On the back of the Penguin edition translated by Peter MacMillan it states:- 'These lyrical episodes combine great elegance with a subversive, experimental wit.'
