The image in this years exhibition "Butterfly Rescue" is an example of how I like to blend reality with fantasy/surrealism. The original photograph of the model was an experiment for a magicians floating body illusion. When I was creating the original image in Photoshop it evolved into the image you see now. Each butterfly had to be created and placed on an individual layer so it was quite a task and very time consuming. I am a huge fan of the surrealists and especially Salvador Dali. This is probably where most of my creativity comes from. I enjoy dabbling in many different media and especially in photography. I shoot everything everywhere as I never know what inspiration will trigger a new creation. I take ideas from other images and influences in everyday life to create a new concept letting my imagination lead the way rather than convention. I have worked in many different jobs, not all of which had anything to do with art, but always kept my desire to create. I like to push boundaries and create images that make the viewer think a little about what they see.
