The painting that I have in this year's Royal Ulster Academy annual exhibition is a view from my sister-in-law's apartment in Leith, Edinburgh.
I was struck by the light, the Vista and the combination of old and new.
The corner shop is the anchor, the figures add to the drama and human interest.
