I have long been fascinated by aerial views especially when they have a strong design factor.

Hailing from Monaghan which is a county of drumlins I find myself heading to Meath to find a hilltop around Slane in particular when the urge hits me and I want a vast landscape.  From a height you see the natural contours of the land. The way we as a people have shaped and manipulated it to our own needs and also the parts that nature has fully owned.

I do have a drone so I enjoy taken this with me when travelling to an isolated spot.

In this instant a friend had taken some footage of Co. Meath and I took a still of this image.

Its the Boyne river that is running through on the left and the M1 on the right.

What attracted me was the almost mirror image of these two. One totally carved by nature and the other designed my man.  I'm quite sure they didn't take the flow of the Boyne into factor when they were planning the road but it's a beautiful piece of symmetry .
