'Fragmented Space' explores the combination of empty office buildings and the construction hoardings that signal transformation. They are composite images, made by laying one image over another. At the heart of this work lies an exploration of flux, both physical and conceptual. The empty office buildings represent a stagnation in urban development, while the construction hoardings symbolize the potential for change and renewal. By combining these two elements, I aim to evoke a sense of tension between what was and what could be. This particular image depicts a local building just after completion. I had observed the progression of the construction from start to finish, thus the title Fragmented Space: complete. Bio / Dianne Whyte Dianne Whyte is a visual artist working with photography.
