Samuel Beckett's severe craggy visage and seemingly austere character are at odds with jazzy Christmas jumpers and you can imagine how much he would have hated being given one. For Beckett aficionados the picture contains references to half a dozen of his plays and to his obsession with cricket.
 
2. St Alfege Church…
As an architect I enjoy drawing the urban landscape and particularly historic buildings with all their variety, but particularly enjoy the conjunction of different styles and uses. This was drawn on the spot, accepting all the mistakes that might have been "corrected" in a more formal picture.
